Baker was hired to do the septic inspection when my family purchased a property in September 2024. Everything was passed with a clean bill of health, which was a major factor in our purchase. Fast forward just 6 months and as we start the permit process to build on that septic system, a different company is telling us we have multiple loose pipes (not watertight) and erosion in the tank caused by a water trickle that should not be there.*UPDATE* Baker came out and spent an hour explaining what he was seeing and how he interprets it. We now feel that we have some options and some clear next steps. I really appreciate Jacob walking us through everything.

From the woman who answered the phone, talked me off the ledge and scheduled same day emergency service to the friendly and knowledgable tech, Rob, who was able to quickly troubleshoot and fix the problem with my system. My wife and I have been using Baker Septic for several years now. We were repeat customers until today, when their tech decided to blindside us with an additional $150 plus tax over and above a previous estimate they had provided for a simple baffle repair. The previous estimate was done during our last septic pump, where the tech suggested a baffle repair and took photos on his tablet at the time of service. Everything was clear as day what the agreement was for, and no additional costs should have ever been added. After calling the office, the tech became agitated and continued pressing us with the additional charge. Meanwhile we called the office as well, only to be told there was no management available to resolve the issue with the discrepancy of the estimate. Needless to say we had the tech leave without completing any work. We have yet to hear from management and why this happened in the first place. There is no accountability whatsoever.

He communicated better than any worker we’ve had on this property (we’ve had many this year, as we’ve just moved) and answered all of our questions and then some. On top of that, our tanks turned out to be full (and unexpectedly huge) but he handled it like a champ and got our previously-sewage-filling-house in a good enough place for plumbers to look at later this week. All I can say is the company was faced with a few extra, unexpected hurdles -- all from my end -- and managed to clear them with ease. This was my first time ordering service and I had a chaotic morning that could have resulted in me not being able to meet the truck, but I called the office to see if they could nail down the arrival (they offer a four-hour window) so they contacted the driver and texted me right back. Once here, Aaron was that perfect combination of a professional -- he answered my questions quickly with extra relevant info -- who has a happy outlook on life.In other words, he was a pleasure to have here. He offered further information related to my earlier questions and took five minutes to answer questions about the drain field after the tank was pumped. He finished sooner that we expected. At the front end, the office gave me the range of prices, and Aaron elaborated on that once he saw my system.I am happy with the price and especially happy with the quality of work Aaron and the Baker Septic team did. One of Baker Septic’s employees, Francisco G. was able to accomplish what several other septic companies could not, locating a second tank where others had failed. He proved to be an exceptionally hard worker despite a condensed timeline. There seemed to be a disconnect between him and management, however. Despite an appointment specifically to clean the septic tanks, they sent him out to simply locate and inspect, hence the lost star.
